The Tripartite Selection Comitttee added two more boxers to the Olympics roster this past weekend from the African Region. Mahjoub Oubtil from Morocco will fill a lightweight spot; while Kenya’s Elizabeth Andiego will take the second middleweight invitation.
Oubtil lost in the opening round of the AIBA qualification tournament to Kyrgyzstan’s Anntonia Chevchecnko in an one point decision.
Andiego lost in her second round of the middleweight tournament Norwegian Lotte Lein with a three point loss.
Both weight classes have two invitations remaining.
