With InvictaFC 2 vastly approaching, Wombat Sports will be doing previews of the fighters this next week. InvictaFC 2 will be live in Kansas City, KS and available outside KC streaming live and free on InvcitaFC.com July 28.
Two fighters that have big match experience will kick off the main card at Invicta 2 as #5 Unified ranked flyweight Carla Esparza takes on veteran fighter Sarah Schneider.
Esparza (6-2) has only lost to the top two fighters in the division; #2 Megumi Fujii and #1 Jessica Aguilar. Coming off a win over XFC star Felice Herrig; Esparza’s wrestling is her strong suit; but has since showed vastly improved striking in her bout with Aguilar.
Hometown fighter Schneider (6-5) has found a home at strawweight, having tried her hand at bantamweight earlier in her career. She is coming off a win over #7 ranked flyweight ranked Sally Krumdiack at InvictaFC 1 at Krumdiack’s debut at 115 pounds. With a win over Esparza, Schneider would propel herself into the 115 pound rankings.
