Kim Connor-Hamby Out; Cat Zingano Back on InvictaFC 3 Card

Zingano

Cat Zingano will fight for InvictaFC after all.

After initially announced to face Leslie Smith, Zingano (6-0) dropped out of her match at InvictaFC 3 for a match with Amanda Nunes in Strikeforce. After Strikeforce cancelled this weekend’s event, InvictaFC offer Zingano and Nunes to host their match on the Oct. 6 card. Nunes had to bow out due to injury.

Consequently, Kim Connor-Hamby announced Tuesday night that she tore her meniscus  and pulled out of her match with Raquel Pennington. So Pennington and Zinagno will round out the InvictaFC 3 card.

The undefeated Zinagno is making her debut at bantamweight, and has been a rising star in the sport of years. She is coming back after a year’s absence and has finished all but one opponent.

Pennington (3-1) is coming off a decision win over Sarah Moras at InvictaFC 2 in July and a submission win over Raquel Pa’aluhi at Destiny MMA last month.

InvictaFC 3 is live Oct. 6 in Memorial Hall in Kansas City. It will stream live on InvictaFC.com for those not in the area.
