Sara McMann Off Strikeforce Nov.3 Card – Could a Canellation Mean SF is Dying?

Many sources around the internet are confirming that Sara McMann is out of her match with Liz Camrmouche the Nov. 3 Strikeforce card.  McMann was recovering from a hand injury but it’s not know if that is why she has pulled out.

This comes as Luke Rockhold has also withdrawn due to injury from the card. Speculation is that the card will be scrapped like the September card, which was suppose to have Amanda Nunes and Cat Zingano.

This also continues the slowly crumbling relationship between Zuffa and Showtime. With the UFC raiding Strikeforce’s talent pool, it has been limiting the fighters they can promote. With Strikeforce champ Ronda Rousey unlikely to see action until 2013, and the deal with Showtime ending in the first quarter of next year, big questions are being asked if this is it for the promotion.

Our guess is that those questions will be answered (or semi-answered) by Strikeforce head Scott Coker and Zuffa president Dana White. If this is definitely the end; InvictaFC will be carrying the mantle in Strikeforce’s wake.
