It was a relatively busy weekend for women’s combat sports, as numerous fights happened across the planet.
Action started Friday with the Super Fight League India; as Serbian Sanja Sucevic (4-1) defeated Spaniard Irene Cabello via TKO at 1:24 of round 2. Sucevic remains undefeated in the SFL and the possibility for her to enter InvictaFC looks more and more likely.
Atomweight Cassie Rodish increased her win steak to three and evened her record with a rear naked choke submission win over Summer Artherton at MCC 43 in Des Moines, IA Saturday. Rodish (3-3) defeated Meghan Wright at InvictaFC 1.

In a catchweight bout of 120 pounds, last minute replacement Emily Peters-Kagan took a split decision victory over Glena Avila at the Dakota Fighting Championships in Fargo Saturday. The win snapped Avila’s undefeated record.

In boxing, IBF flyweight champ Ava Knight picks up some more hardware as she defeats Mariana Juarez by unanimous decision to take Juarez’s WBC Diamond flyweight title in Mexico. She has outright won 5 of her last six fights, with a draw to Kaliesha West.

Rounding out this past weekend’s coverage, kickboxer Tiffany Van Soest has got herself a world title around her waste.
Van Soest defeated WBC Kickboxing International champ Jeri Sitzes to take the 122 pound belt at Lion Fight Promotions in Vegas this past weekend. Van Soest has been undefeated for the past two years of kickboxing and racks up her third win at the LFP.
