It may not have been flawless, but Bellator tournament champ Zoila Frausto was successful in her return to the cage after a year and a half absence. Frausto defeated Caesy Noland via unanimous decision.
The knee was stronger than ever for Frausto, but some cage rust made her a bit sluggish in the first round. Noland’s knees were ironically the factor in the first round; but Gurgel would bounce back with her striking in rounds two and three, cutting Noland with an elbow in the latter round. With the decision victory, Gurgel (12-1) extends her win streak to seven.
Frausto is going to be a part of the Bellator flyweight tournament, which is rumored for spring 2013. Jessica Eye, Munah Holland, and Michelle Ould are possibles for the tournament.

I’m a huge rousey fan but I totally agree w/ ur article. Invicta is the home for WMMa. Sharon knapp is the only promoter who truly has the best interests for wmma at heart, and invicta is the only promotion capable of pitting the best female fighters together. If Dana is smart he would invest in invicta w/ knapp running it. No need for UFC women’s division.
