Tate

Zingano
Although Dana White had stated the UFC would be the “Ronda Rousey” show, it looks like they are interested in grooming a contender for the UFC bantamweight title.
Miesha Tate will make her UFC debut as she will take on the undefeated Cat Zingano at The Ultimate Fighter Finale in Las Vegas April 13. The match will air live and free on FX.
The former Strikeforce champ Tate (13-3) is coming off an armbar win over Julie Kedzie this past August. Before losing her belt to Rousey, Tate was on a six fight win streak including a submission won over Marloes Coenen.
She will have her hands full with the undefeated Cat Zingano (7-0) who has recently moved up in weight to the 135 division. The BJJ black belt has finished all but one of her opponents, racking up three submissions and three TKO. She is coming off a submission win over Raquel Pennington at InvictaFC 3 this past October.
The match will be a title qualifier and the winner will face the winner of champion UFC bantamweight championship match Feb. 23 between champion Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche.
