Blackeye Signs Three More to Roster – Kobold; Jenkins; Calanoc

Blackeye Promotions is proud to announce the signing of three more fighters to the 2012 Blackeye WMMA Division. The Blackeye WMMA Division is recruiting fighters in the weight classes of 105, 115, 125, 135,145 and 155 lbs. Our three new female fighters will be competing in the inaugural 2012 season of Blackeye WMMA at 135 and 105 divisions. Between the three of them, they bring 50 pro fights to the cage.

Kelly Kobald has signed with Blackeye WMMA to fight in the 135 lbs. weight class. Ms. Kobold brings a highly competitive Professional MMA record 17-3-1. Ms. Kobold will bring a highly decorated martial arts career to the Blackeye Cage in 2012.

>Ms. Kobold has a long list of victories over some of the current top 10 ranking females. She is currently using her Athletic ability to play a little Pro football keeping her in top competitive shape. With Kobold’s long history of MMA and her passion for winning she will be taking the 135 division to a whole new level. She will definitely be a challenger for the Blackeye WMMA World 135 Title. Kobold currently trains at Team Bison / Ambition Training Academy.

Another 135lbs fighter, AJ Jenkins will be chasing the title as well. Ms. Jenkins’ record of 17-5-0 shows she is not new to the WMMA. Ms Jenkins began her MMA career in 2004 and has continued to fight through out the past 7 years.

Ms Jenkins has fought some elite females in the 135lbs division and has continued to challenge herself though out her career. Ms Jenkins recently changed camps, moving to California to get involved in the mecca of MMA at Team Quest and Blackline.

Ms Jenkins will bring her style of fighting and a history of victories to the cage in 2012 and will definitely be in the running for that World Title.

The 105lbs division welcomes Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc to vie for the first ever 105lbs World Title. Ms Calanoc brings a record of 7-5-0 to the cage. Ms. Calanoc has fought in three WMMA Divisions and is now calling the 105lbs division home. Ms Calanoc is an International Fighter, traveling to fight in Japan’s Deep series and as well as traveling to Costa Rica. Ms. Calanoc trains at Noguiera BJJ and fights under UnderDawgs Fight Team.


Blackeye welcomes these top athletes to the 2012 fight series.

Blackeye will be announcing more females that are currently signed and selected to fight in 2012. Blackeye’s next event will be “Breast Cancer Beatdown” in Fletcher, NC Oct. 1, which will feature 8 matches from the women’s divsions.
