Bellator made the right call Saturday night.

#2 Unified ranked Jessica Aguilar and #3 Unified rankedLisa Ellis had an entertaining and competitive rematch on MTV2, with the two mainly battling on their feet in a slugfest. Ellis didn’t show any ring rust coming off a year’s absence; actually show off some newly developed striking skills. JAG also showed her striking skills and had a strength advantage. Both competitors looked like they have been in a war post fight; but it was JAG getting the unanimous decision. Aguilar stated her intention to face #1 ranked Megumi Fujii in her next match.

AAMMA Champ Amanda Bell

Absolute Action MMA’s Jessamyn Duke lost her belt tonight to fellow nationally ranked amateur fighter Amanda Bell at their Battle Against Breast Cancer II in Florence, KY. Bell goes 6-1 as an ammy as Duke drops to 5-2. In the only other female match on the card, Sarah Cook def. Cassandra Walker by TKO (round and pound) 1:51 Round 1.
