Brianna Van Buren has had to bow out of her fight with Heather Clark on October 18’s XFC card in Nashville, TN due to having “flu like symptoms”. Amateur strawweight prospect Hannah Cifers will fill in and make her pro debut against Clark. The promotion announced the change Wednesday.
Cifers (7-1 ammy) fights out of Renegade Fighting Systems in Charlotte, NC. She was undefeated in her first seven fights, until she got an unanimous decision loss to Roya Darvishian in a five round fight this past July. Cifers heard about Van Buren bowing out through her coaches and personally asked XFC President John Prisco via text to give her the shot against Clark.
She will have a tough debut in MMA vet Clark (5-4), who is coming off a split decision loss to Felice Herrig at Bellator this past March. Clark fought this past July in a boxing match, fighting to a draw. Clark currently trains out of Syndicate MMA in Las Vegas,
The card will air on AXS TV October 18.
