The last pick of the female fighters has shocked a lot of fans as she is now in “The Ultimate Fighter” finals.
Boxing champ Jessica Rakoczy was able to out strike fellow semi-finalist Raquel Pennington in a match to see who will face Team Tate’s Julianna Pena for the tournament crown. It was Rakoczy’s boxing that kept Pennington at bay, although Pennington was able to score a few takedowns during the fight. In the end, all three judges saw it for Rakoczy 30-27.
Rakoczy got a submission win over Revelina Berto to get into the house, and got a second round TKO over Roxanne Modafferi to get into the finals. She was the only one to score a knockout (be it technical) out of all the participants male or female.
The match against Pena will happen in Vegas Saturday with the winner getting a six figure contract and the right to be called the first ever female “Ultimate Fighter”.
With the loss, Raquel Pennington will face Roxanne Modafferi on the card, with the previously announced Jessamyn Duke taking on Peggy Morgan.
Sarah Moras and Shayna Baszler are out due to injury, but are expected to fight for the UFC in 2014 and be in attendance for the card.
“The Ultimate Fighter” finale will air Saturday night on Fox Sports 1.
