The World Series of Fighting has signed two great fighters going into 2014 to expand their female roster to 4.
The WSOF announced the signing of CFA featherweight tournament winner Ashlee Evans-Smith and DEEP-JEWELS veteran Emi Fujino to the promotion Saturday.
Smith (2-0) had a solid amateur career before turning pro for the CFA 145 tournament. After avenging an amateur loss to Tori Smith, she defeated Fallon Fox by TKO to win the tournament title. The win also gained her a nomination for the WMMA Press Award’s Featherweight of the Year. She will be dropping to 135 for her WSOF debut.
Strawweight Fujino (13-7) is a nine year veteran of the sport with wins over Mei Yamaguchi and Mika Nagano. Fujino’s neck crank win over Amber Brown this year is up for for the WMMA Press Awards Submission of the Year.
No word on when either will be debuting for the promotion.
