New Zealand Featherweight Faith Van Duin Signs to Invicta

Faith Van DuinInvicta has acquired the #4 Unifed ranked featherweight on the planet.

Undefeated New Zealnder Faith Van Duin announced Saturday night she has signed with promotion.

Van Duin (4-0) won an one night tournament last year to become the Storm Damage featherweight champion. Only training in MMA for two years, she is the current WKBF Junior Welterweight Kickboxing Champion.

She will be the first female fighter of Maori (native New Zealand) descent to be signed to a major MMA promotion.

  1. James Te Huna, Dylan Andrews are with the UFC and are Maori. There might be others but I’m not sure. If you’re saying that Van Duin is the first Maori female, that sounds correct.

  2. Not going to be cheap for Invicta to fly her in from NZ. I really worry about Invicta. It also show you how bad FW is when you are fighting for two years, had just four fights beating no one, and are somehow #4. No depth at all.
