Undefeated lightweight Alexis Dufresne has signed to the UFC and will face Amanda Nunes April 19th in Orlando, Florida. Several Brazilian MMA sites reported the news Saturday.
Dufrense (5-0) has finished all of her opponents in the first round with 2:20 the longest she ever been inside the cage competing. After two submission victories to start out her career, the BJJ standout got three straight TKOs. She trains out of Team Quest in California.
In the UFC title hunt, Amanda Nunes (9-3) is 2-0 in the UFC with wins over Sheila Gaff and Germaine de Randamie. Both were first round finishes.
The fight will be a part of the preliminary card of The UFC on Fox 11 card. On the main card, Miesha Tate will take on Liz Carmouche.
The prelims will air on Fox Sports 1.
Good to see the division still moving along. Hope they pick up Pannie Kianzad, Valentina Shevchenko, and Claudia Rey next.
