The best Brazilian bantamweight is stepping up to take on Sarah Kaufman April 16 in Quebec City, Canada.
Several websites are reporting Amanda Nunes (9-3) will step in for an injured Shayna Baszler to the former Strikeforce title challenger at “The Ultimate Fight: Nations” finale which will air on Fox Sports 1.
Nunes is coming off back to back first round TKO wins in the UFC over Sheila Gaff and Germaine de Randamie. Kaufman (16-2, 1 NC) has won four of her past 6, with her last match with Jessica Eye being declared a no-contest.
Nunes was originally set to face Alexis Dufresne at UFC on Fox 11, but that match has been scrapped.
