Two hot prospects on the opposite sides of the weight class scale are now a part of the InvictaFC roster.
“Four Horsewomen” member and featherweight Marina Shafir and undefeated Brazilian atomweight Janaisa Morandin are the promotion’s newest athletes.
Shafir (1-1) announced her signing on the MMA Roasted podcast Tuesday. The featherweight standout and training partner of Ronda Rousey is a world class judoka and was undefeated in the amateur ranks before turning pro. Her lone loss was to InvictaFC title hopeful Amanda Bell.
Invicta announced Morandin’s signing on Wednesday. Having started her career in summer 2013, she has been active with seven straight wins which includes three TKO finishes. Her latest win was in October over Arielle Souza at MMA Superheroes. Her teammate, Talia Santos, just signed to the Bellator 145 division.
No word on when the two will make the InvictaFC debuts.
