Invicta News: Vegas Date Possibly Set, Ibragimova Signs, New Brazilian Parnership

Some Invicta news to catch up on…

People are wondering why Invicta has been delaying announcing their full card for Vegas. One reason is they are looking to set the date and venue through the commission, which will be made official Thursday.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission will be hold their monthly meeting and a part of their agenda is the approval of InvictaFC’s Thursday July 9th card at the Cosmopolitan Hotel for the card happening International Fight week in Vegas. The weigh-ins is tentatively set the night before at the same venue. Nine fights looks to be set for the event, which should be announced over the weekend. The main event will feature Cyborg Justino taking on a yet to be announced opponent for the featherweight title.

Should be noted Catherine Costigan is also on the agenda for a fight license. She will be facing Amber Brown on the card. Costigan will be there in person at the meeting.


Daria Ibragimova 02Russian bantamweight prospect Daria Ibragimova has signed to the promotion. Invicta put out a press release Monday.

Ibragimova (9-1) has won seven straight, with her lone loss to InvictaFC’s Cindy Dandois in 2010. Seven of her wins were by submission. She has yet to fight outside of Eurasia.

No word on when she will debut with the promotion.


ImmortalFC in Brazil have announced a partnership with Invicta.

The fledgling organization has announced a four fighter grand prix tournament August 8th with the winner taking home a contract for Invicta. The weight and participants will be announced next month.

  1. Great updates and congrats on immaf supporting role. Invictafc should work on fighters cleared too or those that pass NV commission as last Vegas trip shown. The Vegas show would be great for autograph hounds as past participants are likely to be there during fanfest. Maybe sponsor a booth or future items for the gofundme projects n breast cancer warriors.
