Two dynamic strawweight bouts have been announced this week for upcoming UFC events.

Randa Markos looks to get back in the title hunt welcoming undefeated Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC on Fox 17 in Orlando, Florida December 19th.

Markos (5-2) is coming off an impressive win over Aisling Daly this past April. She would lose a close split decision against Jessica Penne at the Ultimate Fight 20 finale card.

Polish sensation Kowalkiewicz (7-0) defeated Kalindra Faria in a “Fight of the Year” candidate this past february. She has notable wins over Jasminka Cive and Mizuki Inoue.

The fight will most likely be on the preliminary card on Fox Sports 1.


Former JEWELS champion Seo Hee Ham will seek her UFC as she takes on Cortney casey at UFC Fight Night Korea November 28th.

Ham (15-6) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Joanne Calderwood. before her UFC run, Ham was on a six fight win streak, including her atomweight title win over Naho Sugiyama.

Casey (4-2) also lost to Calderwood by unanimous decision in a fight she took last minute. Casey has won four of her last five fights.

The match will stream on UFC Fight Pass.

  1. A case where press for match u might get more than u can chew… Markos success depends on her past match w torres in similarities yet dont eat punches like most wrestlers r learnin now post joanna vs carla.
    casey expect better outing yet similarties from her calderwood match.
    Rose should move up in rankings n might we get a rose – torres rematch as using hill in litmus test rose wims ny rnc while torres takes decision.
    women needing rebounds – felice, becky, carla, dailey in ufc as delay has turned their invicta meteoric rises in kryptonite.
    great work…dont foget ammys as local n regionals r giving women a spot on almost every mma card now.
