It has been a match many in the WMMA community has been waiting for.
Two of the top strawweights in the pacific northwest will finally meet as Amy Montenegro and Glena Avila will battle for the Super Fight League 115 title at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington December 12th. Both Avila and Montenegro announced the match Tuesday.
Montenegro (6-2) is coming off a close split decision loss to Jamie Moyle at InvictaFC, after winning three straight. The Washington native has yet to be finished.
Avila (5-3) has always been on the cusp of being signed to a major promotion. After losing a close split decision to Danielle Taylor for the 115 KOTC title, she rebounded with a unanimous decision win over Cheryl Chan.
The fight will most likely main event the card, which will stream on the Super Fight League youtube page December 12th.
