XFC is looking to develop local Brazilian talent, and is helping organize a tournament to do so.
The National Confederation of MMA (CNMMA) will be overseeing the “Young Guns” tournament, which will start with the southwest regional December 3-6th with the event finals to be a part of the XFC’s card on December 5th. There are five weight categories: 48kg/106lbs; 52kg/115; 56kg/124 lbs; 61 kg/135 lbs; and 66 kg/145 lbs. Fight must have a three professional fights and must be between the ages of 18-24.
The winner of the regional will qualify for the national tournament and get a chance to sign with the XFC.
The December 5th XFC card will also feature the flyweight semi-finals between Brazil’s Jady Menezes and Croatia’s Mellony Geugjes.
Before we hit December, XFC has announced three female bouts for their November 28th card.
Undefeated Viviane Pereira looks to win the strawweight title by taking on Vanessa Guimarães.
The promotion will also starts its flyweight tournament as the Czech Republic’s Magdalena Sormova (3-0) takes on Brazil’s Hellen Bastos (2-2) and England’s Molly McCann (1-0) faces Brazil’s Vanessa Melo (4-4).
