IMMAF Crowns 2015 European Champions

The IMMAF has a new crop of female champions as their inaugural European Open finals commenced on Sunday.

The Finnish female fighters take home two golds and a silver as Varpru Rinne and Sanna Merta took home the bantamweight and featherweight titles respectfully. Iceland took home its first female title as  Sanna Merta defeated IMMAF World finalist  Anja Saxmark of Sweden.

Leah McCourt of Northern Ireland won the initial lightweight title, and  Aleksandra Toncheva of Bulgaria took home the strawweight championship.

Strawweight Championship

  • Aleksandra Toncheva (Bulgaria) def. Raluca Dinescu (Romania) by Unanimous Decision

Flyweight Championship

  • Sunna Rannveig (Iceland) def. Anja Saxmark (Sweden) by TKO (strikes) 2:32 round 2

Bantamweight Championship

  • Varpru Rinne (Finland) def. Gabriella Ringblom (Sweden) by Unanimous Decision

Featherweight Championship

  • Sanna Merta (Finland) def. Cornelia Holm (Sweden) by Unanimous Decision

Lightweight Championship

  • Leah McCourt (Northern Ireland) def. Mia Isola (Finland) by Unanimous Decision
