WMMA Press Awards Amateur Fighter 2015 Nominees

ASFW-AwardThe 6th annual WMMA Press Awards have decided their nominees for Amateur Fighter of the Year.

With a year full of international talent entering the amateur divisions, this year’s list of contenders represents six different countries, the most in Awards history.

Six journalists that cover the female divisions of MMA will vote on the award:

  • Macy Chiasson (USA; 3-0 in 2015; 4-1 overall)
  • Sunna Davidsdottir (Iceland; 4-0 in 2015; IMMAF European Champion)
  • Samantha Diaz (USA; 5-0 in 2015)
  • Samantha Gilliland (USA; 3-0 in 2015; 6-0 total)
  • Jamie Herrington (Canada; 7-0 in 2015; IMMAF World champion)
  • Brooke Mayo (USA; 4-0 in 2015)
  • Sanna Merta (Finland; 3-0 in 2015; IMMAF European Champion)
  • Leah McCourt (Ireland; 3-0 in 2015; IMMAF European Champion)
  • Varpu Rinne (Finland; 3-0 in 2015; IMMAF European Champion)
  • Gillian Robertson (USA; 5-0 in 2015)
  • Aleksandra Toncheva (Bulgaria; 3-0 in 2015; IMMAF European Champion)
