After an injury has forced Shannon Sinn off the InvictaFC 15 card, newcomer Katy Collins has stepped up on short notice for the InvictaFC card this coming Saturday against Christine Stanley. Laura Sanko broke the news on the InvictaFc podcast Friday night.

Collins (3-1) takes the bout coming off back to back first round TKOs. She went 7-3 as an amateur. She will face another hard striker in Stnaley (4-1) who is coming off three straight KO wins.

Lisa Ellis is also off next week’s card due to illness and JEWELS vet Shino VanHoose will take her place against Amber Brown.

VanHoose (4-3) started her pro MMA career at age 15 in Japan, made a return to the cage defeating  Jody Lynn Reicher by first round armbar this past fall. She has faced some of the best atomweights in Japan and will have another test in Brown, who is an earshot away for a possible title fight.

InvictaFC 15 will stream on UFC Fight Pass this coming Saturday, January 16th from the Hanger in Costa Mesa, California.
