It was a packed field this year for the Amateur Fighter of the Year. The divisions have expanded worldwide as the International MMA Federation have given these ladies a platform to show off those skills.

Canada’s Jamie Herrington went 6-0 in 2015 and won the IMMAF World Amateur title at featherweight.

The former wrestling stand out won the title by defeating up and coming prospect (and Newcomer nominee) Sinead Kavanagh in the finals.

The WMMA Press Committee is honored to select Jamie Herrington as their Amateur MMA Fighter of the Year for 2015.

Herrington told us she expects to turn pro this year, and will fight this April for Five Star Fight League in Canada.

You can hear Herringon win her award here.
