Two flyweight contender bouts are set to see who will face Jennifer Maia for the title.
InvictaFC 23 May 20th in Kansas City will see the main event of former title challenger Vanessa Porto battle undefeated Agnieszka Niedźwiedź, while the co-main event will see another former title challenger Roxanne Modafferi battle Sarah D’Alelio.
Porto (18-7) is coming off a loss over the current champion Maia over a year ago. The Brazilian was on a three fight win streak including a win over Modafferi before the loss.
Niedźwiedź (9-0) looked impressive in her InvictaFC debut over Christine Stanley last July and has since racked up a TKO win in her native Poland this past December.
Modafferi (20-13) has rebounded from a split decision to Maia to get an armbar victory over Priscila de Souza a few weeks ago.
D’Alelio (11-6) has won 4 straight including in armbar in a bout in Bellator.
Also announced on the card, Andrea lee makes her return to the InvictaFC cage to battle up and coming Liz Tracey. The Legacy champ is coming off a title win over Heather Bassett in January.
Tracey (3-1) has yet to be finished and has a win over InvictaFC vet Christine Stanley.
Two UFC vets will battle as Elizabeth Phillips takes on Kelly Faszholz. Phillips is coming off a featherweight loss to Leah Letson in Phillip’s InvictaFC debut. She will drop to 135 for this fight.
Faszholz (3-2) is coming off back to back losses in the UFC.
Glory Kickboxing champion Tiffany Van Soest will return to the cage to face fellow kickboxer Christine Ferea. Van Soest will look for her first win in MMA as Ferea is looking to keep the momentum going coming off a win over Rachael Ostovich.
An important but in the atomweight division see former champion Herica Tibercio (10-4) looks to solidify her spot as a top contender against Tessa Simpson (5-1). Both are coming off wins over Simona Soukupova.
Two or three more bouts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
