For undefeated champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk it has never been an easy road.
Saturday maybe her toughest test as she takes on Brazil’s Jessica Andrade at UFC 211 in Dallas, Texas. The match will serve as the co-main event.
Jedrzejczyk tipped the scales at 115 and Andrade at 114.5.
It has been a fast rise for challenger Andrade (16-5), who has been undefeated since her move to strawweight. Gaining impressive wins over former InvictaFC champions Jessica Penne amd Angela Hill, the Brazilian knockout artist looks to win her first ever world title and be the first to defeat the champ.
Jedrzejczyk (13-0) has already surpassed Ronda Rousey’s undefeated streak with 13 wins, but is still 2 wins away from her defense streak. In a division with no lack of contenders, the only Polish UFC champion will solidify herself as one of the great female fighters of all time.
SportsBettingDime.com has the champion as a slight favorite. The fight will serve as the co-main event of the pay-per-view card.
Also on the card is former number 1 strawweight Jessica Aguilar, who is coming off a year and a half layoff to face Cortney Casey. Both made weight with Aguilar at 115 & Casey at 116.
Aguilar (19-5) was on a 10 fight win streak before losing her UFC debut to Cláudia Gadelha. Casey is also coming off a loss to Gadelha after back to back wins.
The match will air on on UFC Fight Pass.
