IMMAF European Open Women’s Finals Results

The Nordic female competitors had a banner day in the finals at the IMMAF European championships in Bucharest, Romania on Friday.

Both Finland and Sweden took 2 golds and a silver a piece; with Sweden taking home both medals for strawweight.

Sweden’s Frida Vastamäki was the only one to get two finishes to the women’s divisions, with her spinning backfist TKO win over England’s Joanna Doyle. She got a head kick knockout in the quarterfinals.

Julia Dorny of German gains her first gold medal after her two attempts at IMMAF tournaments, this time in the featherweight division.

Junior Flyweight

  • Anna Gaul (GER) def. Lea Maria Zinkanell (AUT) by split decision (28-29; 30-27 x2)

Atomweight

  • Jenna Horto (FIN) def. Mavru Ana Maria (ROM) by TKO 1:04 round 1

Strawweight

  • Anna Astvik (SWE) def. Nina Back (SWE) by unanimous decision (29-28 all)

Flyweight

  • Janika Antinmaa Antinmaa (FIN) def. Ilaria Norcia (ITA) by submission (rear naked choke) 2:36 round 1

Bantamweight

  • Frida Vastamäki (SWE) def. Joanne Doyle (ENG) by TKO (spinning back fist) 1:11 round 1

Featherweight

  •  Julia Dorny (GER) def. Jenni Kivioja (FIN) by unanimous decision (30-27; 29-28 x2)
