The flyweights are featured this time as InvictaFC hosts their second Phoenix Series Friday night. Set with a field of international talent, the winner has a shot of facing the winner of the Vanessa Porto and Karina Rodriguez for the flyweight title.

A group of young guns are also in line in reserve and non-tournament bouts.

For those new to the series, the tournament consists of one 5 minute round for the quarter and semi-finals, with the finals a full three round fight. Fastest finish time in the quarterfinals receives opponent choice for the semi-finals, plus any finish gets a bonus.

Weigh-ins and draws were held Thursday in Kansas City. All tournament participants made weight. Only Chantel Coates missed the mark on the whole card, and will forfeit 25% of her purse plus is now ineligible to be a injury replacement.

The card starts at 7 p.m. central time and will stream on UFC Fight Pass.

Here are the weigh-in results and bout draws for the tournament, plus some background about the participants.

Maiju Suotama (123.6 lb) vs. Shanna Young (126 lb)

If you are a long time fan of the women’s divisions, you may recognize Maiju Suotana (nee Kujala). Having won a tournament in Europe in 2010, she earned the right to take part of another one night tournament, the Strikeforce Bantamweight Grand Prix, in the same year. She faced Miesha Tate in the opening round. After a six year hiatus, she returned going on a 2-1 run.

Having a win over the current featherweight champion Pam Sorenson, Shana Young is dropping to flyweight for the first time. She lost to Lisa Spangler in her Invicta debut, but has since rebounded going 2-1 in her last three fights.

Miranda Maverick (125.9 lb) vs. Victoria Leonardo (126 lb)

In a rematch of their September outing, Victoria Leonardo hopes to revenge her only loss.

Leonardo has quickly became a fan favorite, with four of her wins by submission. Her bout with Stephanie Geltmacher took home Fight of the Night honors a month ago.

Maverick has had all but one of her professional fights in Invicta. Her two losses were to Brogan Walker-Sanchez and fellow tournament competitor DeAnna Bennett.

DeAnna Bennett (125.8 lb) vs. Liz Tracy (125.7 lb)

Coming off her loss in the InvictaFC flyweight tournament, Bennett finds herself looking to get back in the title hunt. She has yet to have back to back wins since 2015 and is looking to snap the streak.

Tracy is coming off a loss to Stephanie Geltmacher after a 5-1 run.

Daiana Torquato (125.4 lb) vs. Milana Dudieva (125.9 lb)

The only person in the tournament that is making her promotional debut, Torquato is on a seven fight win streak. This includes two finishes.

Dudieva snapped a four fight losing streak with a win over Christina Marks. She lost to eventual flyweight tournament winner Karina Rodriguez in her last fight.
