I have compiled amateur results over the years, but this has been the first time I have broken down the amateur stats.
It was popular demand and questions about the future health of the women’s divisions that got me to do this for the first year. We will dig into the weight divisions in part 3. I haven’t done this in past years because getting complete results for the amateurs was a hassle, as previously discusses in part 1. I suspect a dozen or so results have not been posted in the major databases, so with expect a small margin of error.

The Nordic female competitors had a banner day in the finals at the IMMAF European championships in Bucharest, Romania on Friday.

The finals are set for IMMAF European Championships.
There was two submissions in the women’s divisions Thursday. Some familiar names moving on including England’s Joanna Doyle and Germany’s Julia Dorny. Finland and Sweden sends three females to the finals each, with Sweden guaranteed gold at strawweight.

The opening rounds of the IMMAF Euros saw several highlights in the women’s divisions.
Two head kick knockouts, and one submission rounded out the finishes on day one for the women. Seven total matches in the female divisions happened on Wednesday.

In what will be the first time Bahrain will see a female MMA fights, 53 women athletes from across 22 countries will competing for the IMMAF World Championship. Five champions will be crown in a six day tournament November 11-19.
Two countries will be sending representatives for the first time as Tunisia and the host country Bahrain will have athletes taking part.
The US has one lone representative in bantamweight Fotini Kandris.

Many fighters dream of taking some time off to travel and train at different places. Joanne Doyle and her husband James just took their third annual trip to the United States to do just that.
We caught up with the Doyles in Las Vegas to talk about their travels.

Wimp2Warrior brings ordinary people and trains them to be mixed martial artists. The original series started in 2013 with MMA fighter and coach Richie Cranny in his native Australia and has expanded to nearly a dozen countries, with the US jumping on board this year. It was nearly at capacity at the Thomas and Mack center in Las Vegas for Tuff-n-uff’s “Pack the Mack” event Saturday night. Two female title bouts plus a 135 contenders bout were on the docket on the 16 fight card.

Three female bouts with two belts on the line will be in front of a huge crowd Saturday night in Las Vegas for Tuf-n-uff’s annual “Pack the Mack” amateur MMA event.

The Billings Metra will feature female talent from across the country as Fusion Fight League holds their all women’s event Saturday. The card will stream on Fite.tv.
The main event will feature fan favorite Roxanne Modafferi taking on Brazil’s Priscilla de Souza. Originally scheduled as a 125 title match, Souza missed weight. With the World Championships moving to the winter, the IMMAF European Championships has come a lot sooner this year.
In Sophia, Bulgaria, seventeen female fighters from 9 countries in four divisions will battle to be crowned the best amateurs in Europe. Among them is defending IMMAF European champion Cornelia Holm and 2016 Euro bronze medalists Chamia Chabbi, Ilaria Norciam, Anette Osterberg, and Arziko Bregu.
