InvictaFC Finalizes 12th Card with Five More Bouts

InvictaFC 12 card is now complete with a total of 10 fights for their card April 24 in Kansas City. The promotion announced the event’s fill card Thursday.


Ediane Gomes vs. Raquel Pa’aluhi

Ediane Gomes (10-3) is coming off a loss to Tonya Evinger in Gomes’s bantamweight debut. At featherweight, she up four straight wins including two wins at Invicta. She will look for her first InvictaFC win at 135.

Pa’aluhi (4-4) is coming off back to back wins, including a decision over Kaitlin Young at InvictaFC 9.


Lacey Schuckman vs. Jenny Liou Shriver

Schuckman (10-8) returns to Invicta having won three of her last five. In her last Invicta outing, she took former champion Michelle Waterson the distance in a split decision loss. Not one to refuse a fight, she has fought as high as 125 and as low as 105 recently. She will fight at 115 for this bout.

Shriver (3-1) suffered her first loss in MMA at InvictaFC 9 but would bounce back with an unanimous decision win over Suzy Watson in December.

Delaney Owen vs. Sharon Jacobson

Owen (3-1) earned a win over Amber Stautzenberger since her InvictaFC loss to J.J. Aldrich. Owen had won five straight before the loss.

Jacobson (2-1) is coming off back to back first round finishes and will be making her InvictaFC debut.

Shannon Sinn vs. Maureen Riordon

Maureen Riordon (0-1) went 3-1 as an amateur before making her pro debut. She lost to UFC fighter Marion Reneau in July of last year and is looking to gain her first win.

Shannon Sinn (1-2) defeated Courtney Himes by armbar in her pro debut, but is coming off back to back decision losses.

Roma Pawelek vs. Sijara Eubanks 

Pawelek (1-0) lost only once in her amateur career racking up 10 wins.

Eubanks (2-0 ammy) is a black belt in BJJ and has subbed in both of her wins.

  • Roxanne Modafferi vs. Vanessa Porto – flyweight title eliminator
  • Amanda Bell vs. Faith Van Duin – featherweight title eliminator

  • Peggy Morgan vs. Latoya Walker – featherweight
  • Lacey Schuckman vs. Jenny Liou – strawweight
  • Cassie Rodish vs. Stephanie Skinner – atomweight
  • Delaney Owen vs. Sharon Jacobson – strawweight
  • Shannon Sinn vs. Maureen Riordon – bantamweight
  • Roma Pawelek vs. Sijara Eubanks – flyweight

The card will stream on UFC Fight Pass April 24.

Schuckman vs. Gonzales; Lybarger vs. Stevenson Set for January


Boxing great “Sugar” Shane Mosely brings his MMA promotion to Phoenix on January 30 and two female bouts are on the docket.

InvictaFC vet Lacey Schuckman will take on Brenda Gonzales at Super Brawl 1. Schuckman (10-7) has seen some success at atomweight as of late, and went back up to flyweight last spring, getting a win over Melissa Myers. She will have a tough task in Gonzales (5-2), who has been on the cusp of the flyweight top 10. Gonzales is coming off a decision loss to Colleen Schneider.

Jillian Lybarger and Maia Stevenson are both look for their first pro wins as they both have lost their first three pro bouts.

Portions of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Children’s Miracle Network. The celebrity studded event will most likely be aired or streamed and will have more information in the coming weeks.

October 2014 Unified WMMA Rankings – Bennett Moves to Top 5


With 60 fights in September including the return of InvictaFC, there was some movement in three of the 5 woman’s divisions.

Most of the movement came from the atomweight division. With her loss to InvictaFC champion Michelle Waterson, Yasuko Tamada drops to the #9 spot on the atomweight rankings. Lacey Schuckman takes the #5 spot. With Simona Soukupova off the list due to inactivty in the division, Sadae Numata (now #6), Saori Ishioka (now #7), and Naho Sugiyama (now #8) moves up two spots. Entering the top 10 for the first time is Cage Warrior’s Catherine Costigan.

In the flyweight division, DeAnne Bennett goes from #7 to #5 after her win over Michelle Ould at InvictaFC 8. It pushes Juliana Werner (now #6) and Nina Ansaroff (now #7) down a spot. With Alex Grasso successfully dropping to 115, Aline Serio replaces her at the #10 spot.

In the bantamweight division, Miesha Tate moves up a spot to #3 after here win over Rin Nakai. This drops Sarah Kaufman to #4. Jessica Andrade makes her way to the top 10, replacing Nakai at the #10 spot. Nakai drops to #15.

The featherweight and strawweight top 10 lists stay pat this month.
