The strawweights will be prominently featured in InvictaFC’s 11th card at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles February 27.

After news broke Monday night of the main event featherweight title match between Cyborg Justino and Charmaine Tweet, Invicta released the complete eight fight card.

The co-main event will feature a battle of InvictaFC 115 title contenders in DEEP-JEWELS champion Mizuki Inoue and undefeated Alexa Grasso.

Inoue (8-3) won the D-J title by defeating Emi Tomimatsu by armbar this past August. Inoue lost in her last InvictaFC match to Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

Grasso (6-0) won both of her InvictaFC fights, TKOing Alida Gray in her last outing.

In an interesting turn of events, flyweight title contender DeAnna Bennett has decided to drop to 115 and will take on veteran fighter Lynn Alvarez.

Bennett (6-0) has a win over TUF 18 winner Juliana Pena and has finished in four of her fights. She defeated Jennifer Maia at the last Invicta card.

Alvarez (6-3) has finished in all of her wins, and choked out Amber Stautzenberger in 45 seconds in her last win.

Rounding out the strawweight matches, XFC vet Brianna Van Buren (3-1) battles Amy Caldwell-Montenegro (5-1) and rising stars Jamie Moyle takes on J.J. Aldrich.

Two flyweight fights were also announced.

Undefeated submission specialist Emily Corso (5-0) takes on “Knockout of the Year” winner Christine Stanley (3-1) and undefeated striker Kristi Lopez battles amateur standout Aspen Ladd.

The lone bantamweight fight sees Mexico’s  Irene Aldana (4-1) take on 7 year vet Melanie LaCroix (3-2).

The fights will stream on UFC Fight Pass.

Seven year veteran Lynn Alvarez has re-signed to Invicta. The promotion made the announcement Tuesday.

Alvarez (6-3) is one of the top prospects at strawweight, having competed in the Bellator 115 tournament in 2010. She has notable wins over fellow InvictaFC fighters Michelle Waterson and Michelle Ould. Her most recent win saw her submit Amber Stautzenberger in 45 seconds.

Her only three losses were to two of the top fighters in the Top 10 (Jessica Aguilar and Carla Esparza) and to Angela Magana. Alvarez would lose to Esparza in her InvictaFC debut.

Alvarez is currently training her striking at Diesel Muay Thai in Vegas, and has seen vast improvement as shown in her fight with Stautzenberger .

Alvarez was supposed to make her debut with the World Series of Fighting last year, but an injury had her opponent back out.

No word on when Alvarez will be making her promotional return to Invicta.
