It was Fight of the Night at InvictaFC 2 and as a main event, you’d figure it would steal the show.
Shayna Baszler look like she didn’t miss a step going into the cage with #5 ranked Sara McMann. In what was thought would be a ground battle wound up being contested mostly on the feet. McMann would edge Baszler to a decsion win; which many feel Baszler should have taken the win.

I thought mcmann took all rds here are my reasons, 1rd, mcmann landed the only punchs or kicks that actually hurt basyler twice, and mcmann controlled the clinch, and was more aggressive, 2 rd, mcmann got the takedown, yes basyler tried a leg to knee attack, but mcmann dfended it reversed it plus attacking basyler with multiple strikes while defending, then mcmann works it back to the feet gets another takedown and has basylers back then the rd ends, 3rd. This is all mcmann, she gets 2 takedowns, and outstikes basyler until 10sec left where mcmann gets sloppy and gets knocked off balance( watch her face, it doesnt even stun her, she reachs automatically for a td which she would of gotten) . I think alot of people expected mcmann to run right through basyler, and the reality is at this level 1mistake is all it takes to lose. I thought the fight was close but like i stated those are my reasons for giving all threerds to mcmann. I hate it when people say robbery if its a robbery state the reasons why and go rd by rd like judges do, and take out the like or dislike of the fighter, and judge by the criteria, of effective stiking, effective grappling, effective aggression, and damage, then apply it rd by rd
Sara won the first, lost the second, won the third.
Right fighter won.
Wouldn’t mind a rematch.
