IBF Strawweight champ Katy Guiterrez successfully defended her title for the fouth time this past weekend at Estadio Centenario, Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. She defeated Gretchen Abaniel via TKO after a barrage of punches in the fourth round; leaving the referee to stop the match. (Abaniel was knocked down shortly before.)

Also on the card, Maureen Shea captured the WBC Featherweight world title with a majority decision win over Diana Ayala. Shea was on the attack with Ayala using counter punches to stay competitive. With the win, Shea gets her first world title.
