Julie Kitchen told the Cornwall Channel in the UK this past week she has officially retired from competitive Muay Thai. She quietly left fighting in the sport in December.

At 36, Julie Kitchen still looked in her prime, although having lost to Miriam Nakamoto in California this past October. Kitchen has been contemplating retirement for the past year to help develop her gym, and her kids program. She has 14 year old twin daughters who also train Muay Thai and are active in the scene in England.

Kitchen has 14 world titles to her credit, and over 55 pro kickboxing bouts under her belt.  She has only lost 9 times in her career.

We wish Kitchen the best in her new projects.
